VISUAL is a multidisciplinary study of physical products generated by contemporary culture designed to inspire creative thinkers.

    VISUAL is unique in that it examines the creative process and the talent behind it, providing readers with some insight into the the why and how of [good] design. Subjects include furniture, art, furniture, advertising, fashion, automobiles, decorative arts, film, books, typography, music, architecture, photography, apparel, digital design, instruments, food, gardens, broadcast design.

    It serves as a forum for discourse on design and the creative process.

    VISUAL is read by individuals involved in activities and assignments that require critical and creative thinking.

    It was launched in 2004 in Toronto, Canada, as a premium consumer quarterly. It was available on newsstands across North America and controlled-distributed to architects, designers, creative-related education institutions, art-related organizations and galleries.


    Jairo Arango leveraged print and broadcast media background plus a passion for design and the creative process to create VISUAL magazine. He serves as Editor in Chief, Creative Director, and Publisher.
